23 June update
The team enter the final week of their June challenge. Due to lockdown and social distancing they’ve not been able to hold regular fundraising activities, although still want to help in any way possible.
Distance wise the team have beaten their target and have already walked and run over 700km and so far, have raised £445.
Those taking part include representatives from the Private Client Department: Laura Manton, Director; Julie Binge, Chartered Legal Executive; Tracey Pugh, Legal Assistant, and Jessica Bennett Legal Assistant. Also involved are Andrew Rannie, Director and Head of Property; Lochana Gabrielsen, Solicitor in the Commercial Property Department, and Lisa Ody, PA to the Managing Director.
Laura Manton said: “Due to lockdown we could not hold our annual Easter Egg Hunt and we haven’t been able hold our usual fundraising activities. I felt strongly that I wanted to do something. I had the idea that we could run or walk ‘together but alone’. During these times, we feel it is even more important that we support each other and it is wonderful to be part of something with a common goal.”
“We have all been enjoying the countryside around us with walks and runs around Uckfield and Crowborough and further afield including Bewl Water, Seven Sisters and Tilgate Park to name but a few.”
She added, “Now, more than ever, it was vital that Sussex Support Service – the Dawson Hart charity of the year – had additional funds to support its isolated service users.”
