Uckfield family business and Chamber member, Happy Me Dance are heading to San Sebastián in Spain this June for the 2022 Dance World Cup. Star dancer Ella, 13 is representing Team England as a classical ballet soloist for the second consecutive year.

Dance World Cup started in 2004 in Munich, Germany. They now have over 6,000 dancers from 64 Countries around the world taking part in the competition each year.

Team England have dominated and have won the Dance World Cup every year since 2013!

Jo Arnett became the Team England Manager in 2012 with 50 dancers in the Team when they were runners up, before winning the following year in 2013.

Her Majesty, The Queen writes a Good Luck message to the dancers each year and dancers audition annually to be part of the Teams.

The Dance World Cup starts with an exciting opening parade – it is the dance equivalent of the Olympic Games! Thousands of dancers take part in the opening parade ceremony with marching bands to launch the event.

Dancers win medals and prizes and can participate in master classes and receive tuition from top industry professionals.

Dance World Cup UK Teams have some fabulous industry professionals who are our Patrons: Dame Arlene Phillips CBE, Lauretta Summerscales- Principal Ballerina, Jacquie Storey, Debbie Moore OBE and Wayne Sleep CBE who support our young dancers.
