Uckfield high street will be turning pink on Friday 18 October to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Now’s world-class research and life-changing support.
Taking place during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK, and sees thousands of people wear pink however they choose – be it as part of dress- up days, bake sales, netball tournaments, wild swims, knitting sessions and even bra displays.
Now in its 23rd year, wear it pink has raised a staggering £41 million for people affected by breast cancer to date.
Davina, from The Uckfield Divas WI said:
“We are really looking forward to our Wear it Pink Event. We hope Shops will join in & turn their window displays pink and if they can place wear it pink collection boxes to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now.
“We hope to raise awareness of Breast Cancer Now and raise funds to support even more people with their life-changing support and research.
Kinie Kaur, wear it pink manager at Breast Cancer Now, said:
“We want to say a huge thank you to the Uckfield Divas WI for holding a wear it pink event in support of Breast Cancer Now’’.
The Chamber virtual networking meeting on Wednesday 4 September will welcome Davina to speak about this campaign…
