New Chamber member, Pulse South Coast are offering a FREE Open Day!

Did you know that performing CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival during a cardiac arrest? Yet, in the UK, only one in ten people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. That’s why learning these life-saving skills is so vital. This October, we’re offering you a chance to make a real difference in your community.

🚨 Join us for a FREE CPR & AED Open Day! 🚨
📅 Date: Saturday, 12th October 2024
Time: 12:00 – 17:00
📍 Location: Cinque Ports Club, Uckfield

Whether you’re familiar with CPR or new to it, this is an opportunity to gain valuable skills that could save someone’s life. Our expert trainers will guide you through hands-on practice in CPR, how to use a defibrillator (AED), and how to help someone who is choking. This event is not just about learning; it’s about empowering our local community to take action when it matters most.

The Importance of CPR Training:

At our event, you’ll not only learn CPR but also gain confidence in using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), a crucial tool in treating sudden cardiac arrest. Studies show that for every minute that passes without defibrillation, a person’s chance of survival decreases by about 10%. Access to AEDs and the confidence to use them can dramatically increase survival rates.

Support a Great Cause: The Sussex Heart Charity

While the CPR and AED training is free, we’re also raising funds for The Sussex Heart Charity, an organisation dedicated to improving heart health and care across the region. Your donations will directly support initiatives like community defibrillator programs, heart patient support, and medical equipment for local hospitals.

Community & Business Involvement

Our CPR & AED Open Day is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to get involved. Whether you’d like to sponsor the event, donate a raffle prize, or simply attend and show your support, your participation helps strengthen the heart health of our community.

Let’s work together to build a safer, more prepared Uckfield. Your actions today could save a life tomorrow. Whether you’ve been meaning to learn CPR for years or you’re already familiar with the basics, this is the perfect chance to refresh your skills while connecting with local businesses and fellow community members.
