Craig Sharples, Managing Director of Pulse South Coast writes…
“In 2021, I founded Pulse South Coast Ltd with a vision to provide medical cover and training services to individuals and organisations across the UK. My journey toward building this business was deeply personal and driven by my experience having a child with complex medical needs and feeling completely out of my depth when it came to knowing what to do in an emergency. This then drove me to start working as a healthcare professional. Having spent years on the ground as part of an ambulance team, I saw first-hand the need for high quality pre-hospital care and effective first aid training, not only for professionals but for anyone who could be thrust into an emergency situation.
From day one, my aim was to combine the best of my professional knowledge with a customer-focused, compassionate approach. I understood that people don’t just need training in theory; they need the confidence and practical skills to act in critical moments. That’s why all our courses, from First Aid at Work to CPR training, are delivered by professionals who bring real-life experience to the table. It’s important to me that our participants walk away feeling ready to handle real-world emergencies.
One of the biggest milestones for me personally was seeing Pulse South Coast become a trusted name for event medical cover. I’ve always believed that the key to providing exceptional service lies in customisation. Our team works closely with event organisers to tailor medical plans that fit the specific needs and risks of each event. Whether it’s a small local fair or a large-scale festival, I’m proud that we’re known for delivering care with professionalism and warmth.
Since its inception, Pulse South Coast has garnered industry recognition, including being awarded Best Pre-Hospital Care Training Provider for South-East England in 2024. Achievements like this reinforce our commitment to excellence and innovation in the services we provide. They’re not just awards to me, they represent the hard work, passion, and dedication that my team and I put into every training session and every event we cover.
I’m proud of how far we’ve come since 2021, but I’m also excited about the future. We continue to expand our services, keeping patient care at the core of everything we do. I believe that by empowering others with the skills they need to save lives, we’re making the world just a little bit safer, one course and one event at a time.”
