Chamber Virtual Networking meeting
Wednesday 6 November 2024 / 9:00 am - 10:00 am
FreeA positive of the pandemic is that we discovered online networking and our members tell us that they welcome this format so we will continue to offer a monthly opportunity for members to network online via the Zoom platform, with the next meeting being on Wednesday 6 November 2024 starting at 9.00am.
We provide Uckfield businesses the opportunity to meet other like-minded people in a time efficient way. The meeting will last an hour but obviously, an advantage of such meetings is that is does allow people to ‘dip in and out’. That said, please aim to sign-in for an 9.00am start.
Each attendee will be given one minute to share about their business before we introduce a guest speaker, chamber member, Kathryn Colas who will discuss managing menopause in the workplace.
Kathryn Colas is a celebrated author, the visionary behind the women’s advice and support service Simply Hormones, and the founder of the Kathryn Colas Menopause Academy—an establishment dedicated to menopause education and training globally. With a reputation as a leading specialist in the field, Kathryn is a sought-after media commentator and public speaker, lauded for her efforts in improving understanding of menopausal symptoms and empowering individuals with invaluable information. Her impact extends beyond education, as she influences policy and practices in the workplace, working with NGOs, public and private sector organisations. Kathryn’s ground breaking work in menopause education has garnered her the title of the first and only lay person appointed to the medical advisory committee of the British Menopause Society.
It’s an opportunity to ask any business-related questions to the current situation. Using Zoom, we have a ‘Chat’ facility so questions can be typed, and we will endeavour to answer them or at least, point you in the right direction. Best practice also suggests that you should ‘mute’ your microphone when not speaking to avoid unnecessary background noise.
Our members will be emailed the meeting link approximately two days before the event; non-members are welcome, although please email the Chamber for the link a week beforehand, if you’d like to attend.
This meeting format is monthly, although we will break in December so the next meeting date will be on Wednesday 8 January 2025.
